About
We are learning how to garden in the Pacific Northwest. We grew up gardening in the East, spent many years forgetting how to garden, then re-learned on the roofs and windowsills of tiny apartments in Brooklyn:
We now have lots of space outside a sweet house in Seattle, and are attempting a few raised beds and many many more plants! You can follow our adventures with Mother Earth… and send us your advice anytime.
The gardeners of 4312 Whitman (past & present),

Viv, The garden bed looks really healthy because it filled with good dark soil. don’t mind you neighbor, I think you are right, 100 ft from middle of the road to the curb belongs to the city. Grandma & I are proud of you.

nice aerated soils. neway. ur life appears to skool amazing. maybe start a halfway homes that teach farming and outdoor survival courses. Syke can do that wile ur in china. I will help skye out forging a new program working with people there. (saw a frontline: mentalliy ill) got me to thinking about these peple who have no where to go. makes me sad. and makes me wanna do something. I think if I go over yonder (while Viv is away) I could come up with some genius plan to tame the social deviantsss..then viv will return and I can continue coporate job hunt.
