our cat loves going into bags… even cat-trap bags that somehow fly away!
a recent dinner included lettuce from our garden and our CSA, oxbow farms… along with salmon from pike place market, asparagus from PCC and beer mikey brewed!
and finally, some wildflowers from our climb up silver peak last weekend. fresh peas to anyone who can successfully identify them! (click photos to enlarge)

I’m totally on board with the Indian paint brush ID. The lupine looks more like a Texas bluebonnet (admittedly, a type of lupine) than a standard lupine. It’s very fleshy-looking, with really nice, big blossoms along the spike! Your pink flower is a bit too blurred for me to tell for sure. Go back and get a better picture (just kidding)! Cool about the trillium; I haven’t seen any this year, though I haven’t been out in the wilderness as much as you. I will take some pictures of my garden soon, though, Skye: we have been eating big salads with our tomatoes, peppers, lettuce (successfully scared the rabbits away with liquid essence of rotten eggs on the rocks surrounding our garden), basil, parsley and cilantro. We just dug up some of our little hillside as well, and put in more peppers (including a banana pepper), a beefmaster tomato, a yellow crookneck squash, and loads of oregano and lavender. Oh, yes, and two eggplants in a big pot. Our postage stamp yard is truly filling up! By the way, it’s great to see the fun you’re having with your cat; I almost wish I had one. Almost.
